Gary is an experienced business lawyer and has been providing practical legal advice and support in the Birmingham area for nearly 20 years.
Having trained as a solicitor in all areas of business law, Gary specialised in commercial dispute management as a litigator from 1992.
Prior to establishing Cousins Business Law, solicitors in 2008, Gary led the business law team at virtual law firm Woolley & Co. His earlier career saw him as a partner heading a team of commercial dispute resolution solicitors in a major Birmingham solicitors’ firm.
As a litigator, Gary prides himself on getting to know his clients first and their difficulties later. In that way he can make recommendations which address the commercial as well as legal issues that they face.
Gary has a varied client base including construction companies and developers, charities, farmers, landowners, engineering firms, food processing companies, IT professionals, ecommerce companies and insolvency practitioners. Many are family owned businesses who welcome a close working relationship with Gary as a trusted adviser.
Gary is based in Moseley in Birmingham but has clients across the UK and also handles disputes with international aspects, either for companies based overseas with problems in the UK or for UK companies operating abroad.
Outside of the law Gary enjoys travelling, visiting historic sites and wine tasting.
